Trip Bali

Canggu & Ubud

Day 1: Arrival in Bali (Canggu)

  • Arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport. Take a taxi here to Canggu. Be aware that when you arrive at the airport, many taxi recruiters will approach you. Make sure you download the “Grab” app and check the rate for your stay. So never make sure you pay more than this rate to a taxi driver
  • Experience the sunset at “The Lawn” in Canggu, where you will be assigned a lounge area. This beach club has a very nice swimming pool overlooking the sea.

Day 2: Canggu

  • Rent a scooter and explore the surrounding beaches such as Echo Beach and Batu Bolong. When renting a scooter, be careful not to get ripped off. It is normal to pay between 3 to 5 euros (+- 50,000 IDR) per day. However, the landlord will bet higher, so make sure you negotiate well.
  • Visit Tanah Lot Temple, an iconic sea temple.
  • Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and nightlife in Canggu. We recommend trying out the “old man's” club. When the club closes in the evening, the party continues at a beach club around the corner.

Day 3: Ubud

  • Drive to Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali.
  • Visit the Monkey Forest, the Royal Palace and the local markets. The central market in Ubud is very beautiful during sunset, and the ideal place to buy a nice souvenir for the loved ones back home!

Day 4: Ubud

  • Explore the surrounding area of Ubud, including the beautiful Tegallalang Rice Terraces, and the many waterfalls with spectacular views.
  • Visit the artist villages such as Celuk (silverware) and Batuan (painting).

Munduk & Lovina

Day 5: Munduk

  • Take a taxi, outside Grab, heading north. Because taxis are available in limited numbers in Munduk and the surrounding area, we recommend that you message a taxi for a day trip together. For 600,000 IDR (36 EUR), you can easily get this. This taxi driver can take you to all the highlights of the area, which you cannot easily find on Google!
  • Visit the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple on Lake Bratan. You will find many locals here, as the temple is dedicated to the goddess Dewi Danu , the goddess of water, lakes and rivers. This lake plays an important role in the fertility of the environment.
  • Enjoy the cool mountain air and beautiful views.

Day 6: Munduk

  • Drive to Munduk, a picturesque mountain village.

Day 7: Lovina

  • Drive to Lovina, a coastal town in the north of Bali. We recommend you spend the night at Padmasari Resort, a very nice hotel with a view over the sea, and within walking distance of Lovina beach.
  • Take a boat trip to spot dolphins at sunrise. This was the highlight of the trip for us! Because the boat allows you to sail along while you are in the water, you can literally swim with them!

Day 8: Lovina

  • Visit the Banjar hot springs for relaxation. Located close to Lovina beach, you can get here within half an hour by scooter or taxi. Relax here with many locals.
  • Explore the Buddhist temple Brahma Vihara Arama. This is within rolling distance of the heat sources of Banjar.
  • Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Lovina by visiting “Lovina Beach Club & Resort”. Here you have a very relaxed swimming pool, with a sunset that will make you cry of joy 😉

Uluwatu

Day 9: Uluwatu

  • Drive to Uluwatu, a surfer's paradise in the south of Bali. This large island has enough activities for everyone 🙂
  • Visit a massage parlor in Uluwatu. Bali is known for the “Balinese Massage”, where you can dream away for an hour.
  • Dine near your hotel, and get ready for a night out. “Hatch Club” in the west of the island is the ideal place to have a drink and dance 😉

Day 10: Uluwatu

  • Rent a surfboard and try surfing. Even if you have no experience as a surfer, we recommend that you give it a try. After a few attempts on the water, it is already possible to ride with the waves for a while 🙂
  • Grab an afternoon lunch at BB Corner, on the west of the island. In our opinion, this is the best restaurant on the entire island. You can eat the best Indonesian dishes here for a small amount of money and enjoy a delicious coconut!

Day 11: Uluwatu

  • Take a day trip to the nearby Bukit Peninsula, visit Balangan Beach and Bingin.
  • Visit “Bali Collection”, a large shopping center near the most luxurious part of the island. Here you can get a lot of fashion for a good price. Please note that some Balinese brands resemble well-known Western brands!
  • Drive towards the west of the island to end your evening. Catch the sunset in Dugong Lounge, with a lovely swimming pool in the sultry summer evenings!

Day 12: Departure

  • Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy your last moments on the beach or go souvenir shopping.
  • Transfer to Ngurah Rai Airport for your departure.

If you have more time for your holiday in Bali, we recommend that you go to Gili T. We have heard many good stories about this Party Island. Please note, however, that boats do not always sail with heavier waves. therefore, don't plan Gili T as your last destination, because you could be stranded there for days.
